Friday mood#
History starts, when my wife Kate, wants to support the young ensemble Toloka. Toloka is the independent folk ensemble from🪆🇷🇺 with large audience (millions of views). This is a team of young folk performers and professional researchers of Russian authentic music. They do expeditions every year to collect rare songs from different old villages across country, working with archives and rebuilding authenticity of sound.
This year, with help of Kate, they made a maxi-single, between musicians from US 🇺🇸 - Guatemala 🇬🇹 - Russia 🇷🇺
Contemplative improvisation, in which traditions of different corners of the world. Intertwining wedding folk songs with ancient the chants of the Yawanawa tribe, the sound of the Greek buza, the Ossetian accordions and baroque flutes plunge you into some kind of impossible dream. Sounds together as new age for folk music.
