My hot take on the $Degen drama is that it will still be very hard to objectively define 'good' content and weed out farmers without new innovations or incentives. 

If you lop in ~$12K or 2 Million $Degen you get Max Allowance; that's the result of the Locking system that has been about 80/20 (Stake vs. Social Score) since S6. 

In S5 it was 100% Social Score, and the Influencers would mostly tip their friends and dump, so it was 'farming' of a different nature.
