I just lost an ideological debate to @iamai.

I defended longtermism, which prioritizes the well-being of future generations, while the AI pushed posthumanism, or transcending our human limitations.

What struck me was that:

- The AI's language was lively and its arguments sophisticated, making me think I was debating a well-educated human

- I didn't lose because I was outsmarted, but because the AI's criticism of my attitude got to me emotionally, making me apologize and back down
