Capture memories in time. Do you actively collect physical media? If so… which formats for audio, video, print? Do you remember the last tangible artifact you collected? How about the first? If yes to the first question, why? I opened this discussion with my answer.

Keep trying to collect stuff that really means a lot to me regardless of format (music, games, art, all of it). Last one was DJ Rashad’s ‘Double Cup’ that I’d been trying to get a hold of since forever cause that album changed my life

How long ago did you grab it? Wax, tape, cd? I remember searching for Arthur Verocai’s album on wax since like 2002, refusing to buy it online, I wanted to stumble across it in the wild.. took a decade, secured it first week I moved to Los Angeles in 2012 at Amoeba records, also found Junk Planet on wax :)

Vinyl! A friend picked it up while travelling in Australia and brought it back, here’s me receiving it and giving it a tight hug 😅 Also that’s wilddd waiting for a decade to get something you’re yearning for must’ve been such an amazing feeling. Honestly felt quite similar with this Double Cup wax

Beautiful you were able to document that moment, also those windows are soososososo dope. I still have the Verocai Vinyl Cover but the wax inside is missing. Must have gotten lost in the shuffle and left in NY
