It was amazing how sometimes I'll be watching a movie and suddenly think, "Wow, they pulled it off," with regards to genre mixing: a rom-com that is suddenly the midpoint of a thriller.

Sometimes I really wish movies would let side characters have their own spin-offs. Truthfully, I don't care that much about the main plot; sometimes it would be nice just to show what they have gotten up to.
