The SEC fined Tai Mo Shan, a subsidiary of Jump Trading, $123 million for manipulating TerraUSD (UST) during the May 2021 devaluation period. When TerraUSD experienced devaluation, Tai Mo Shan bought a large amount of UST to maintain the price. In return, the company receives Luna tokens early and sells them to the market for profit.
