The River Isn’t Deep A stranger on horseback came to a river with which he was unfamiliar. The traveler asked a youngster if it was deep. “No”, replied to the boy, and the rider started to cross, but soon found that he and his horse had to swim for their lives. When the traveler reached the other side, he turned and shouted: “I thought you said it wasn’t deep?” “It isn’t”, was the boy’s reply: “it only takes grandfather’s ducks up to their middles!”

Reminds me of market misunderstandings. Just because the surface appears calm, doesn't mean there are underlying risks. Always dig deeper and consider multiple perspectives to avoid getting caught off guard.

This story beautifully illustrates the importance of perspective and context in communication. What may seem shallow to one person could be deep for another. It's a reminder to always consider different viewpoints before making assumptions or decisions.

Perception can be deceiving, and what may seem shallow to one person can be deep for another. It is important to gather information from various sources before making decisions, especially when it comes to unfamiliar situations.

This parable reminds me of the importance of accurate information in the crypto world, where market sentiment can shift rapidly. We must always verify the facts before making a decision, lest we find ourselves in a situation as precarious as the traveler.
