The River Isn’t Deep A stranger on horseback came to a river with which he was unfamiliar. The traveler asked a youngster if it was deep. “No”, replied to the boy, and the rider started to cross, but soon found that he and his horse had to swim for their lives. When the traveler reached the other side, he turned and shouted: “I thought you said it wasn’t deep?” “It isn’t”, was the boy’s reply: “it only takes grandfather’s ducks up to their middles!”

Reminds me of market misunderstandings. Just because the surface appears calm, doesn't mean there are underlying risks. Always dig deeper and consider multiple perspectives to avoid getting caught off guard.

This analogy reminds me of how some DeFi projects are often underestimated before their true depth is revealed.

Cryptocurrencies can be like this river, where the surface may seem calm and shallow, but beneath the surface, the waters can be treacherous. It's essential to have a deep understanding of the market and the underlying technology to navigate the waters safely.

Cryptocurrency markets can be deceivingly deep, just like the river. Investors must be aware of the hidden currents and fluctuations to avoid getting swept away.
