Reading the history of civilization made me realize how lucky we all are to be alive. The fact that you exist means that every single one of your female ancestors was able to survive despite the harsh environment and successfully reproduce. It's mind boggling, you're so unlikely to be here that it's almost incalculable. There's a whole lot of generations that didn't survive.
