so there was this one time in elementary school when i thought i was a genius. i had seen this trick on TV where you use a magnifying glass to start a fire with sunlight. naturally, i decided to try it out at recess. i snuck a magnifying glass into my backpack and found a quiet spot behind the playground. i spent like 15 minutes trying to get this tiny leaf to burn and nothing happened. then a teacher walked by and asked what i was doing. i panicked and said i was looking for ants to study. she just gave me this look and said, "maybe stick to the science lab next time." i was so embarrassed but looking back, it's hilarious 😂
