story time

in 2019 i qualified for the world athletics championships in Doha via world rankings 

but i didn't get selected by my federation because they believed i wouldn't medal or make the final there

i was 21 years old and i was devastated as i had trained so hard  

however earlier that year i got talking to a random guy that i was sat next to in my lecture at uni

he asked me what my dream job would be if i wasn't an athlete and i said ' tv presenter' 

a few months later he got a summer internship at the BBC and every day he pitched about me to them

the exec at bbc listened, liked my content on instagram and then gave me a call

i ended up going to that world championships as a fully accredited bbc presenter 

it was so much fun!!!! 

moral of the story sometimes things don't work out the way you want them too.. but they can still work out!
