The McLuhan Library at Baukunst includes a curated selection of books from Marshall’s library and includes a hotline phone that dials Andrew McLuhan’s cell phone.

This chart comparing energy efficiency across species was the origin of Steve Jobs β€œbicycle for the mind” metaphor for personal computers. The bicycle doesn’t pedal for us, but rather transforms our effort into something exponentially more powerful. Scientific American Magazine Vol. 228 No. 3 (March 1973)

No expert but deep in the topic once upon a time. Years ago, I designed a book for the Newsweek reporter who was at the major events (JFK shooting, Oswald arrest and shooting). Visited the School Book Depository often and had stacks of JFK artifacts on my desk. My office was next to the Dallas Police Headquarters where Ruby shot Oswald.

Olbia, an ancient Greek colony on the Black Sea (modern Ukraine), minted small cast bronze coins in the shape of dolphins between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE. This β€œproto-money” was likely used as a form of currency that occupied the space between ingots and coins. Scholars suggest they may have served as votive offerings or had symbolic significance in addition to their monetary function.

Couldn’t agree more. It creates space to observe and think.

I'm using the blocks as metaphor for my career. A flexible and resilient system of stacking blocks that represent the layered journey. Hope it works! Ha

You sparked the thought! More on it here. Actually, I received this book as a gift eventually. https://medium.com/collider/tsunehisa-kimura-ζœ¨ζ‘ζ’δΉ…-a4d7c496430e
