Let's take a look at confidence and arrogance. Confidence is the belief that you can reach your own potential. This is an inherent positive trait. Confident people tend to have a higher amount of trust from their peers and have a much easier time leading teams. They tend to be looked at as knowledgeable in their areas, and lead others to also feel confident. Arrogance contains a lack of empathy and inability to see things from another's point of view. This is an inherent negative trait. Having this sort of attitude tends to have peers feel closed off and put up walls. Arrogant people tend to lead with the perception of power or being a know-it-all. They will have a much harder time being a leader. Finding a way to be confident and taking into consideration much of the other traits we've discussed so far will get you much further than being arrogant.
