After entering my third decade, I realized none of my clothes fit my personality. Now, I’m slowly replacing pieces. My problem is I use a lot of reference images, but when I buy the pieces, they don’t end up looking right on me. Any tips on how to develop personal style?

An example, I view Virgil Abloh as a mentor of my work, he was a fashion designer that did streetware, i began incorporating some streetwear with some preppy-ish, casual looks.

Try to wear the things that most closely resembles your feelings and/or mindsets. There can be a deep meta in clothes. It continuously evolves too. Also, find a fashion designer that looks at their work as art, resembling your own values, you’ll beginning liking their style, then their clothes.
