As a lifelong fan of Frank Herbert's Dune series, I got my 12 year-old son started and hooked early with this wonderful adaptation. Funny how he was correcting me on certain details of the storyline after reading it.

My 13 year old son loves the movies but the books would probably be a bit too heavy, so this would be a great alternative. Thanks for the recommendation!
