If Farcaster stays too crypto-native, it caps its own growth. The core problem isn’t “how do we onboard more crypto people?” but “how do we make this the best place to discover and participate in meaningful conversations on any topic?” Right now, Farcaster has: - High-signal users (smart, engaged people). - A decentralized structure (no algorithmic choke points). - A flexible channel system (theoretically good for niches). But it lacks network fluidity, the ability for new users and topics to gain traction organically.

So imagine: A better cross-channel surfacing system, where great posts (not just from big accounts) get discovered across multiple relevant channels. 1) Smarter user introductions, where if you post insightful takes on, say, AI, you get surfaced to people already discussing AI, regardless of follower count. 2) Momentum-based visibility, where fresh but engaging discussions keep getting surfaced instead of dying in obscurity. This shifts Farcaster from a closed social graph to an idea-driven network, where anyone can break through based on contribution not connections. That’s how you get DAU growth outside of the crypto bubble.
