Vote no on a company taking over the Farcaster brand name. If you agree make some noise seems like the door is closing. Is the naming perfect? no, but that’s a Warpcast issue. This reminds me of Microsoft trying to hijack HTML. Embrace, Extend, Extinguish was an internal strategy documented that leaked. How did that turn out? At least dwr is open about the strategy which I believe will hurt the ecosystem over the mid & longer term. Dictatorships are en vogue 🤷🏻♂️😭. A few of us have been pushing for decentralized protocol governance for a long time. THIS is why!!

The MerkleM team is considering taking the brand Farcaster & using it for the 🚾 app name & presumably renaming the protocol. (idk) There was talk about throwing a bone to the ecosystem by open sourcing the renamed app.
