The microwave oven, a staple in modern kitchens, was invented accidentally by Percy Spencer, an engineer at Raytheon. In 1945, while working on radar technology with a magnetron, Spencer noticed that a chocolate bar in his pocket had melted. Intrigued by this phenomenon, he experimented with other foods, including popcorn kernels and an egg, which ultimately exploded. Realizing the potential of using microwave radiation to heat food, Spencer developed the first microwave oven, called the "Radarange." This innovation revolutionized cooking by significantly reducing cooking times and introducing a new level of convenience to households worldwide. 0 reply
