"post after post of nothing" is exactly why social incentives are so dangerous - they are incredibly effective for generating *volume*, but algorithms can only approximate what "good" volume really is

so, eventually people find a meta of minimum input -> max incentive reward, and the ecosystem goes sideways. (cont)

yea, I’ve personally always been a Twitter maxi compared to other social medias and have always been trying out the new social apps like bluesky, threads and friendtech but nothing has hit like farcaster 

they got something good and sticky here, just have have clean up those issues

i love what farcaster is doing with its changes to certain familiar concepts from twitter etc, but they def have new consequences which we're gonna need to grapple with
