People who can't listen to the other person are annoying to the point of gnashing their teeth. Some of them are just waiting to start talking about themselves. You tell a story and mention some insignificant detail in passing (let's say you bought a Coke). Immediately he/she goes, "Oh, I don't know, I don't drink coke!" Okay, geez, take a brownie off the shelf, just let me tell it properly. Very unpleasant, especially when you, in turn, carefully listen to the interlocutor and respect his right to speak.

ugh, totally get that! it's like, can we just have a normal convo without it being all about them?? so frustrating 🙄
