The proliferation of the SM7B makes the audiophile in both happy and sad. It's a great podcasting mic for a wide range of voices, but a world where there is essentially one mic being used by all podcasts is a sad world.

Honestly, I’m more of an RE-20 person. SM7 always sounded weird to me.
