Nonfiction, into history and economics. Recent ones I enjoyed are Sleepwalkers—about lead up to WWI, The Nineties—about the 90s, and Capitalism, Alone—about how capitalism has taken over and it’s issues

Fiasco and Cobra II are just reads for understanding how badly we (the US) screwed up in the invasion of Iraq and subsequent actions shortly after. 

Dereliction of Duty by HR McMaster is a great political read on Vietnam. 

The Brewer’s Tale by William Bostwick is a very fun read on history of beer.

And if you haven’t read Superintelligence by Bostrom yet… am absolute now. Best book explaining general AI I’ve ever read.
