Ever heard about the Dancing Plague of 1518? In July of that year, residents of Strasbourg, France, were struck by a sudden compulsion to dance uncontrollably. It started with one woman and quickly spread to around 400 people, leading to exhaustion and even death for some. The cause remains a mystery, with theories ranging from mass hysteria to ergot poisoning. Imagine dancing for days without stopping!
