2/ By leveraging MLS, XMTP uses ratchet trees to derive the encryption keys in group chats.

Ratchet trees offer strong guarantees of who can and cannot read every message in your group chat, which most other chat protocols can't do. 💪

How does XMTP resolve different local views for groups? (Alice and Bob both invite Charlie, and both send a message before syncing the 2 events from the other party)

I know matrix started some work on MLS in a distributed/decentralized setting, but I don't think it reached implementation.
