so when does everyone think a coffee shop should close

It’s madness. They’ve been opening later and closing earlier for years now. 
There was a brief punk rock coffee shop that said “24 hrs call ###-###-#### if door is locked” and I popped in at 3am called the number and pretty sure the guy was sleeping on a cot in the back

These are my principles. If you don't like them, well, I have others

they open later and close earlier because less people are coming

shift to beer and wine in the evening is the correct idea. coming soon to @nouncoffee ☻

Yeah and for lack of trying and creativity. There are always people needing coffee. It doesn’t always have to be an overpriced, pretentious experience. A straightforward, solid cup in a high traffic place would become a thing. College towns, or near people who work the graveyard shift, could add to the operation sustaining volume. 

Not to mention a cafe that shifts to wine or beer in the evening. Have it be cozy, have couches and bookshelves, the like
