been thinking about @ludens' 'Worlds' a lot lately

a World is a container of things + rules about how those things work

when these things and rules start to feel "real" they become a World

we live in many Worlds, learn their rules, and how to behave in them

we currently live in the World of USD, one people use but don't fully understand

this World has become "real" because authorities  confirm the existence of things (like a bank confirming your balance)

complex systems (bureaucracy and laws) are required to keep Worlds working
