phones used to be chaotic good. now they’re all lawful boring.

I worked for Sprint from pre camera phones until the iPhone 5. It was a glorious time to be in wireless. So many quirky unique phones and also watching the tech improve so rapidly.

counter point is that nobody really bought all these crazy phones. everyone had a nokia brick, then maybe a razr or blackberry for a hot minute, then iphones.

this was an amazing era for phones, a true cambrian explosion into a multitude of forms
