The biggest feature of options that is different from futures and spot is its nonlinear characteristics. Whether it is futures or spot, you earn as much as you rise, and you lose as much as you fall (the opposite of short selling), so its delta is always equal to plus or minus 1 (a straight line with a slope of 1 or -1). The graph of options is nonlinear.
