Valentina Tereshkova She is the first Russian woman astronaut who went into space on June 14, 1963 with the Vestak-6 spacecraft. He returned to earth on June 19 after 71 hours and 48 times around the earth. On the way back, he left his capsule at an altitude of 20,000 feet and landed on the ground with a parachute.
