anons wonder, maybe the thoughtful discussions in past years were also an imposed narrative like the leaderboard. there wasn't engagement for what the topic was, maybe it was supposed to work based on a select pool of MCs. this worked with consistency, but since $points, the sense has changed to "Goodhart's cashout"
