While establishing a U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve might legitimize crypto assets, doesn’t government ownership fundamentally undermine the decentralized ethos that drew us to crypto in the first place? 

Curious to hear how the community sees this potential paradox.

It looks like the reserve aims at locking in perceived value in the crypto economy, but it doesn't care too much about decentralization.

In other words: if it prints money, we want it. We don't care if it's Proof of Work, Proof of Stake or anything else.

If this order would have been signed 200 years ago, it would have probably included beads and feathers, as they were still playing a significant role in the economical exchanges back then, on top of gold and coins.
