My neighbor grandmother Elizaveta Ivanovna is funny and strange. She constantly looks through the peephole when I come and go. She comes out on the landing when I come back from the store, and she looks into my bags without a glance and looks directly at what I eat. Yesterday, for example, I was lectured that I eat a lot because I throw away a lot of garbage! And last week, I was coming back from the store with a gift for my nephew, who turned one year old, I bought a musical toy, so I got a lecture about the dangers of promiscuity and the consequences of early pregnancy. This morning a coworker was picking me up and I walked out without a hat and was told about meningitis and pneumonia....

It sounds like she cares in her own unique way, even if it feels intrusive. Maybe try having a light conversation with her about boundaries. Sometimes understanding each other better can make living as neighbors more pleasant.
