I completely agree that the fiat-to-crypto onramp is one of the most significant UX blockers for consumer apps aiming to onboard "normies." While in-app purchases can facilitate small transactions, they don’t address the larger hurdle of getting users to engage meaningfully with crypto. The KYC process can be a major deterrent, often leading to high drop-off rates. Users are generally accustomed to seamless experiences, and the friction introduced by lengthy verification processes can be a turnoff. This is where platforms like Coinbase excel, as they’ve already built a large user base with KYC completed, making it easier for newcomers to jump into crypto without facing immediate hurdles. For future apps, focusing on simplifying the onboarding process—like minimizing KYC friction or offering instant verification options—could significantly enhance user experience. Building deeper integrations with wallets that allow for easy fund transfers and making the onboarding process more intuitive
