decided to start a new house beat...here's an hour timelapse of me building it from scratch, condensed to 30 seconds.

i decided to start by bootlegging/copying the beat from the john summit remix of i remember by deadmau5...the audio is what i exported at the very end of the hour

i literally never use it and am only in the arrangement view

yep...for loopy genres like house+techno, i always lay down my main perc+motifs in session, then record to arrangement

foleys, fx, pre-recorded loops etc go straight into arrangement

i strongly prefer midi bc i can control so much from the simpler or sampler and then draw notes out for melodies 

i know it’s not a common approach but it works well for me

nice makes sense

if you had to produce using only MIDI or audio which would it be lol
