1/ Let’s Talk About Expectations in the DEGEN Community

As we continue building DEGEN together, I think it’s important to address something fundamental: what we should expect from one another.

Right now, DEGEN is one of the only platforms where someone can earn hundreds of dollars with almost no authentic engagement—just by reposting low-effort or spammy content. Platforms like Google Ads or Twitter would never allow that kind of behavior to be monetized, and it raises an important question for us as a community: why should we?

Agree on this. It is kinda cringe seeing  "good" leaders making noise when things didn't go their way BUT when things benefited them they just chilling and enjoying it without even bother to question something which is obviously  looks abnormal 🤷

full disclosure on my end: my allowance has swung wildly day-to-day this season and i do not know why. vaulted degen fluctuations wouldn't explain this afaik

From what I understand prior to 20th Jan the flactuation was due to the bug on calculating allowance on dune do to unlocking period which cause people have double or triple or even more multiplier of the balance which snowball into having higher percentage of the pool and higher allowance. The next bug was due to inflated allowance of some accounts as cast which made ~30mins prior the end of the day not getting substracted.  All those have been fixed and the new fluctuation (yesterday and perhaps today) could be due to accounts getting banned and others getting more due to that.
