i feel like i change my opinions every day

one of my favorite mental tools is asking "what if i believed the exact opposite of my current view?"

i find it's a useful way to put yourself in someone elses shoes and refine your perspective

these things might sound obvious to other people but they weren't obvious to me:

- people just want free money (not the tech)
- people love gambling
- many (not all) of the top projects had organized wash trading / metric juicing
- insiders dump
- twitter isn't reality - the bottom of the iceberg is in dms

i love how quickly memetic everyone is 

whether it's plumbs, cucumbers, or "Whatever happens, happens" we will adopt a new meme at the drop of a wizard's had. it's very cult-like

- software licensing 
- gpu sharing
- ip rights
- real estate / housing
- mineral rights
- ride sharing
- remote labor / services / upwork teams
- gaming (still massively underexplored)
- music rights

We love it and we're actually trying to build something that lasts a long time

I loved creating art as a kid, but was disillusioned with the idea that I could never "own" it because it was someone elses IP

Forgotten Runes is designed to be 100-year brand - we're building a substantive project that will last a long time

I have no desire to launch a memecoin that evaporates in a few months when degens move on

When you look at the NFT projects that have tokens that work, they're based on utility somewhere else

You need something to support it: a game economy, shared protocol fees, revenue sharing, etc. 

Otherwise you'll just see the vibes move to something else and the token dies

I think there are very few NFT projects that can sustain a memecoin long term - I'll branch out and suggest that none can. Which makes sense: if it's just based on vibes, you're just splitting liquidity across two things

create worldbuilding that is based on a deep well of characters that are continually developed by their owners

Not as much as I'd like - maybe a couple of times per week

I'm obsessed with generative & ai-assisted world-building and that's what I want to build more than anything
