If you want some traction, and new buyers you should pay for dex. Its only 300$, but its bullish. People are not even itnerested in to hold coin without dex with hopium it will smash itself 100k.

If you launch your coin, and you want to push it and work on it, just do some action like dex and telegram channel. 

Who wants to buy and hold coin, when DEV don't want to do anything with the coin, and expects that people will "get some traction"
