feel like using MPCs with PWAs is cool but would be great if we could give users actual self-custodial option without dependence on 3rd Party

best thing I can think of is using passkeys, which gives users access to Secure Enclave from browser, caveat is that the Secure Enclave only supports the secp256r1 curve which would require custom verification in a smart contract wallet

that’s cool but my understanding is that the secp256r1 verification is super gas hungry. Is there any movement on EIP-7212 to add secp256r1 sig validation as precompile to EVM? Or are any L2s doing this proactively?
