When I travel to Nepal I always visit different Buddhist monasteries. Sometimes I see how parents bring their small child there to study and live there. Mostly people poor in Nepal and for many families itā€™s good opportunity to give one of their child to monastery. He will get education, food and later he will always have money for giving service to people- puja. Iā€™ve seen how people just come to some monks when they passing by and give them some money. Of course those children get discipline, because life and schedule in monastery is not so easy

I read the book "The Third Eye" by Lobsang Rampa. about life in a monastery. I think it is very difficult for children.
