Signs of overtrading include trading without a clear strategy, feeling the need to constantly be in a trade, and ignoring risk management. 
To avoid overtrading, stick to a trading plan, set trade limits, use proper risk management by risking just about 2% of your portfolio when taking trades take, and prioritize quality over quantity.
