Bitcoin scavenger loses appeal over lost 8,000 BTC British James Howells has again failed to obtain permission to search for a hard drive containing 8,000 BTC — the UK Court of Appeal has rejected his claim against the Newport authorities. He now plans to file a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights, claiming a violation of his property rights. Previously: the dump will be closed in 2025-2026.
