I freaking loved sketch so much I was late to the figma game a few years ago..

In the beginning they were much better and easier to use also had a much better way in handling libraries and components. Problem mainly was speed of deploying new features and sketch was also horrible for collaboration, you had to use many to many third party tools.

sketch was great when paired with abstract but figma came in and swept it. Im surprised they're still around tbh
