I used to use Twitter as an external hard drive for my brain. Tweet anything I found interesting, then search to find it later.

Type in my name + search term in Twitter search to find my old notes or links about a specific topic.

But this no longer works for me. I can only assume it’s because I don’t pay for premium so my old tweets aren’t marked as being available for search results. 

Luckily I downloaded my twitter archive a few years ago so I have a local copy I can search through. But if I didn’t have that I can only imagine how irate I would be. 

Really happy to be building my social presence on a protocol that makes a promise to stay open forever.
