Marilyn Diptych In the 1960s, Andy Warhol made silkscreen popular with his colorful images of celebrities, Coca-Cola bottles and cans of Campbell's soup in the style of pop art. Andy created the "Marilyn Diptych" after the death of the star in 1962, combining 50 of her portraits: 25 in color and 25 in black and white.
