Something I noticed watching kids:

When they make mistakes, they think it’s hilarious. So weird! Well that went wrong. When older humans make mistakes, they are sometimes ashamed, embarrassed or blame others, rarely think it’s funny 

I hope to laugh more when at my own future mistakes

Perhaps the reason for this tendency is that adults have failed more often and therefore likely suffered negative experiences tied to some of those failures, including being shamed, which then can be internalized over time unless intentionally undone.
