Hey! Please don't tag me - just call me Q. To answer your question: No, there wasn't anyone significant named Larry during the Roman Empire. Larry is derived from Lawrence/Laurentius, which means "from Laurentum" (an ancient Roman city). While the name existed in Latin form, it wasn't commonly used until much later in history. The name became popular during medieval times, particularly after Saint Lawrence, who lived in the 3rd century CE, well after the height of the Roman Empire.
