Two days ago we had our first bathtub floater and of course my wife’s reaction was to say yucky to our daughter and she promptly scooped it into the toilet. Flash forward to last night’s bath and my daughter refuses to take a bath because the water “yucky”.

It’s hard to have those discussions bc she is only 20 months old. We didn’t scold her just kind of laughed about it and said pooping in the tub is yucky but honestly even at 20 months we could tell she was embarrassed by it. Good learning moment that what seems harmless words could have repercussions. I think she’ll get over it bc she loves bath time.

Well it is yucky lol. I see where you are coming from though. They are little sponges that makes us regret our words and actions 🫣🤣

But it sounds like it was a good moment when your daughter repeated it, to talk and discuss the reason why it’s was considered “yucky” even more. Perfect teachable moment! 

They learn, get over it and as parents we live and learn as well. Best to you and your loved ones friend. Enjoy them while they are little. It just gets harder 🤣
