I liked Liljegren, but 2 GMs and 2 coaches didn’t see it in him for that roster. No knock on the guy as a player but that situation is very telling. Wish him the best in SJ, hopefully Tree has more moves in him

“Great” isn’t the word I would use. It’s fine. We needed cap space. Liljegren lost his ice in Berube’s system. We needed a couple picks since we were thin. Benning is a 7/8 D for us when we already have several. It’s just fine.

Would’ve loved a bigger return than this given Maatta went for a 3rd, but I do think Benning is an intriguing player who could factor in & serve as insurance in a world where Hakanpaa isn’t all that good Rielly - Tanev McCabe - Benning OEL - Timmins Is at least food for thought

So these are my thoughts on the recent Saskatchewan election,and the results. The Saskatchewan Party won, as well now know, but they did so by a far narrower margin than previous years.The NDP got the majority of votes in the two largest population centers, saskatoon, and regina.
