What are the main challenges faced in implementing decentralized social media systems, and how can solutions be found to ensure the security and sustainability of such platforms like farcaster ?

I think most of the security issues in decentralized social are related to vectors for bot like abuse; spam; manipulation of engagement rates; incentivized algorithms. 

I think transparency like we have in Farcaster opens up these risks to be tackled on by many teams rather just one like at traditional companies

"the farcaster team" will be anyone or any company on the internet eventually. That's the power of open markets for innovation that protocols enable

even a company as big as twitter/x hasn't been able to solve the bot problem, it's interesting if the farcaster team can do it
