I like “minting” or “coining” as verbs that describe creating new tokens, no matter what type of tokens they are

I also think swap is a better verb than exchange - the latter feels more corporate to me

Are you saying you want to call “the exchange of one coin for another” minting?

makes sense if coins are primarily financial - if they're cultural and social and communities then maybe other words are more suitable to communicate that.

if true that most swaps have eth as one of the sides, maybe better to call it “buy” and “sell”?
