same is true of most platforms. the reality is most L2 + wallets platforms drive the majority of distribution, making them also monoclients in some sense at the moment. The problem with this is it heavily disincentivizes anybody who pushes back or tries to make things more open and interoperable; thats the opposite of what a platform wants. Platforms want lock in, Protocols want liquidity

very curious how this all plays out with L2s and appchains on OP stack. there must be a tonne of politicking and projects using their leverage to get grants or users that is going on behind the scenes that we don’t see
